The House

Ferro della Notte — Iron of the Night — began the night Marco watched a friend leave dinner in a leather jacket and silk dress and thought the jacket was the dress. The brand's first piece was a leather slip, soft as a glove, that took eight months to engineer. Marco's leathers come from a tannery in Tuscany that has worked with motorcycle helmet brands for forty years; the same hides that protect a rider at 200 kilometers per hour become evening pieces that move like silk. The aesthetic is dark romanticism — pieces that catch street light, that look better with wear, that age into themselves. The house produces in lots of forty per style, never restocks, and numbers each piece. A Ferro piece is intended to last thirty years and gather scars.

Marco Ferro

Marco Ferro grew up in his family's leather workshop in the Roman suburb of Ostiense, where his grandfather had repaired motorcycle saddles since the 1960s. He studied product design in Milan, returned to Rome in 2018, and launched Ferro della Notte in 2021 to apply Italian moto-leather construction to evening wear. He still cuts every prototype himself.
